This Training is for People to be able to apply for a Certified Pilot Vehicle Driver’s License (CPVD) in Victoria to be able to work as a OSOM Pilot Vehicle Driver in Transport Heavy Haulage Industry.
This Training gives you the require 5 Modules Required to Obtain the above License for Victorian, Tasmanian, Northern Territory & Western Australian HVPL with some extra Training for WA.
TLIF3010: Pilot or Escort Oversized and/or Overmassed Loads.
TLIF3009: Use Pilot and Escort Communication.
TLIF3013: Coordinate Breakdowns in Emergencies.

WA Accredited Pilot Training
This training is for Pilots / Escort with either Victorian (Certified) or Queensland (Escort) Licences.
Allows you to be able work and Piloting of OSOM Loads within Western Australia.
Certified Pilots will be trained in the W.A. Authorised Persons Accreditation under the W. A. Regulations, Bridge Supervision and training will include how to control traffic without the use of a Stop/Slow Bat.
At the end of this day training, you will receive knowledge of being able to Pilot / Escort Oversized Loads into Western Australia.
WA Heavy Vehicle Pilot Licence Info
- This training for WA HVPL, GJ Trans Training will only do this Training if you have a Current Vic Pilot Certification and have a Statement of Attainment (SoA), completed within the last 12 Months.
Other State Licenses Qld & NT, must show that they have an SoA with the required 5 Module Training completed within the last 12 Months
APPLYING FOR A HEAVY VEHICLE PILOT LICENCE
A person making application for a HVPL must submit:
a) a completed Heavy Vehicle Pilot Licence Application Form available from the Pilots page of the Main Roads website;
b) written evidence of a current passed Assessment of Fitness to Drive for Commercial Vehicle Drivers Medical examination which, at the time of the application, is valid for more than 12 months before it is due to expire.
The Heavy Vehicle Pilot Licence Medical Assessment Instructions and Heavy Vehicle
Pilot Licence Medical Assessment Form are available on the Main Roads website;
c) written evidence of a successful completion of a Heavy Vehicle Pilot License training course provided by a Main Roads approved RTO (Statement of Attainment); and
d) a copy of their current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
Applicants on a probationary driver’s licence will not be issued with a HVPL.

RENEWING A WAHVPL OF EXISTING HOLDERS OF A HEAVY VEHICLE PILOT LICENCE
Renewal requirements.
It is the Pilot’s responsibility to ensure their licence is renewed prior to it expiring. An
application for the renewal of a HVPL must be submitted together with the fee payable
($205.00) anytime between =six months prior to of the HVPL expiry date and at least 14 days prior to the HVPL expiry date.A Pilot’s application for a HVPL renewal must include the same information as a person making an application for a New HVPL, except in place of the Statement of
Attainment, the applicant must submit evidence of a Certificate of Attendance which is issued by a registered training provider stating that the applicant has attended the refresher training course by the registered training provide
